Jennifer Soncini was introduced to Crossfit over two years ago and fell in love with it immediately. She was active during her youth by playing basketball, softball, cheer leading, gymnastics, and attended several dance classes. After school, and these sport teams ended, it was difficult to find something that could give her that team spirit but also get in shape at the same time. Crossfit provided a sense of community and camaraderie that Jennifer was looking for. Her training style was gymnastics based beforehand, but Crossfit introduced her to strength training and olympic lifts that she had never done before. Jennifer was challenged but determined to perfect these movements and now can dead lift over two times her body weight. This was something that made her realize that to be fit meant being proficient in every type of exercise. She knew that she wanted to become a trainer almost immediately and took the Level 1 trainer course quickly after staring Crossfit. Her teaching background has made her passionate about educating others about the sport and helping them get to the highest level possible. It has also helped her in her job of working with sick children with both physical and intellectual disabilities. Jennifer has completed a Spartan Beast, Spartan Sprint, Tri-State Tough Mudder, and was a Pit Judge for the Civilian Military Combine, as well as taking part in the CMC itself. She also was a judge for the Crossfit Open in 2015.
